16th Annual Joint Conference on Health

Continuing Education Credits

The Washington State Public Health Association will request continuing education credits for the 2009 Joint Conference on Health in Yakima, Washington with the following organizations:

Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
The Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) will award continuing education hours to each Certified Health Education Specialist who completes this program and requests credit.  SOPHE has been designated as a provider of continuing education in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. The number of CEUs is still being determined at this time.

Please sign-up for CHES credits at the CEU Table located in the Main Lobby of the Convention Center.  You will need to pick-up an evaluation booklet as well.  Complete the evaluation form within the booklet on each session you attend.  At the end of the conference, please turn in your entire booklet with payment to the designated CHES Coordinator. The Coordinator will be available at the CEU Table to assist.  There is a cost of $1.00 per CECH (this may change as we move forward in the application process later on). Have your CHES number with you.  Certificates will be given out at the end of the confer

Physicians
Category II continuing education credit hours.  Sign-up sheet will be available at the CEU table.

Registered Sanitarians
Request for CEUs will be made with the Washington State Board of Registered Sanitarians once the JCH program is complete.  The CEU forms will be located on the CEU table at the conference.

Washington State Dental Hygiene Examing Committee (DOH) will have a sign-up sheet for CEUs. and signed certificates available at the conference.

A Certificate of Attendance may be obtained by signing-up at the CEU table which will be located in the Yakima Convention Center near registration.
